A beautiful abandoned stone trestle is now seen in west side of I-81 several hundred feet south of Exit 217 between Staunton & Lexington, VA. Unknown what railroad company used on it.

Mike Woodruff General Probably a remnant of B&O's Valley Road of Virginia line which ran from Harrisonburg to Lexington. Chesapeake Western acquired it in 1943 and abandoned the trackage south of Staunton. 10/20/2006 2:03:53 PM
